In its 72nd and 74th meetings, the Board of Directors establishes the Theological Committee to supervise the establishment of the “Theological Research Institute.” It stipulates that the task of the Institute is “to provide research and leadership for the clarification of this university’s theological position and theological construction” |

In March, the Theological Research Institute is established (with Dr. Han Chul Ha as director, Dr. Park Il Chul as assistant director, and Drs. Kang Chang Hee, Choi Jong Tae,
Chang Hae Kyung, and Chung Hung Ho as full-time research professors). In September, the “ACTS theological synoptic movement” begins to incorporate “Faith movement.” |
2006 |
In March, Dr. Kang Chang Hee is appointed as the director of the Institute In May, due to the inner school crisis, the Theological Research Institute ceases to function |
2011 |
In March, as ACTS becomes normalized, the Theological Research Institute resumes its function (with Dr. Kang Chang Hee as director, Dr. Chang Hae Kyung as assistant director, Dr. Han Sang Hwa as secretary, and Drs. Woo Sim Hwa, Won Jong Chun, and Chung Heung Ho as full-time research professors). The biweekly Theological Research Meeting and the Faculty Seminar take place. In December, the Theological Research Institute (once a subsidiary of the Theological Committee of the Board of Directors) is modified and re-established as a full-fledged adjunct institute of the university. |
2012 | In September, Dr. Woo Sim Hwa resigns and Dr. Park Ung Geu is appointed as full-time research professor. |
2013 |
In September, the new appointees include Dr. Chang Hae Kyung as director, Dr. Han Sang Hwa as assistant director, and Dr. An Kyung Seung as full-time research professor The administrative regulations of the Theological Research Institute (as adjunct research institute of the university) are now integrated with the university regulations, so as to amend and supplement, establishing a separate bylaws. |
2014 | In March, among the former full-time research professors of the Theological Research Committee, Dr. Won Jong Chun resigns and Dr. Cho Hwi is appointed as secretary. |
2015 |
In April, the “ACTS Theological Synopsis Statement” is finalized and the 1st “ACTS Theological Forum” is held. In September, the 2nd “ACTS Theological Forum” is held. |
2016 | In March, the Theological Research Committee is reestablished (with Dr. Han Sang Hwa as director, Dr. Kim Joon Soo as secretary, and Drs. Jung Heung Ho, Chang Hae Kyung, Won Jong Chun, and Lee Han Young as full-time research professors). |
2017 | In December, the Theological Research Committee is reestablished (with Dr. Han Sang Hwa as director, Dr. Won Jong Chun, Jung Heung Ho, Lee Han Young, Ahn Kyung Seung, Her Ju as full-time research professors). |
